Nashville, Tennessee

This is a great city, but you better love live music, and especially country. While it is not all country music, you cannot escape it, as nearly every bar on Broadway is playing it and you can hear it from any corner.  They have their share of distilleries for their famed Tennessee Whiskey, and if you have a car, you can drive 1 hour south to the Jack Daniels Distillery. One thing I did not like, was the 25% tax on liquor.  I rarely have more than 3 drinks, but in this case it was paying for 4 after tax.  The other issue is, even if you are 100 years old, you need to show ID or you will not be served (at least at the Jack Daniels’ Distillery). IT happened to someone on line in front of us and they had to make the 1+ hour trip back to the hotel to get their ID.
