
Caipirinha
Caipirinha

Brazil’s national cocktail is the Caipirinha, and is simply sugar, lime juice and cachaça, the Brazilian version of rum. If you ever want to find it in a liquor store, you will typically find it in the rum section, although Brazilians believe it should have its own category.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ounce caçhaca, or rhum agricole if you cannot find it.
- 1 lime quartered.
- 1 tablespoon sugar.
METHOD:
- Put 2 teaspoons or 1 tablespoon of sugar into a rocks glass
- Quarter lime and muddle with sugar
- Add ice and pour caçhaca, stir well.
