Blue Ridge Winery (Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania)

Wine Fiascos [April 26, 2026] – In Northeastern Pennsylvania there is a very good winery. I say very good, because I have visited many within a 2 hour drive from where I live in North Jersey. This one has the best tasting wine of any so far. I never drink without eating, so if food is important, they do have pizza on premises, but not much more outside of expensive food trucks. What I do like is that you can get a flight of 5 different wines for about $15 as of this date.
They give you a free wine glass to take home if you wish, and there is about a 1-ounce serving of each wine. This adds up to 5 ounces and/or 1 standard glass of wine. They have a dry red option, dry white, sweet white and a mix of fruit flavored wines.
When they are available, they have a tour of the winery, its not very elaborate, but they show you the bottling process, the fermentation tanks, and those who are familiar with the process could probably skip the tour. The process itself does not change much from distilling for spirits or fermentation in wines. Even the bottling process is not much different. It is a good way to spend some time between other activities, but if you have seen it before, there is no real new information here.
