Blood Orange
Blood Orange Syrup
This syrup has many applications, but by far the best is the Ides of March cocktail, which is light years way ahead of The Bloody Caesar.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ounce sugar
- 4 ounces Blood orange juice (about 2 small blood oranges)
- 1 teaspoon blood orange zest
Simmer in a sauce pan until all the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool and use within 3 days.
