Jack Daniels

Probably the most iconic American whiskey is Jack Daniels. While they call it Tennessee Whiskey, it is basically bourbon, with the exception that it is charcoal filtered. About an hour south of Nashville is Lynchburg where the legendary distillery is located. While it is a dry county (no alcohol allowed), they get around this law by conducting tours that are educational. And it is very educational. In fact, most might not know that the master distiller Greene was a freed slave who actually taught Jack Daniels how to distill.
