Ex Keeps Calling

This is an original drink from a Venezuelan restaurant called Maracaibo in Union City NJ.  The measurements are my own and suited to my taste, but there is no question this is better than an espressotini.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ounces Appleton Aged rum
  • 1 ounce fresh brewed espresso coffee (chilled)
  • 1/2 ounce such as Kahlua (if you use something else, add 1/4 ounce of simple syrup)
  • METHOD: Shake all ingredients with plenty of ice, double strain into a stemmed cocktail glass.
