Gilda
Gilda
2009 Brian Miller (Death & Co.)
Brian Miller named this as a tribute to Rita Hayworth for her most noted movie Gilda. In 2019 he repurposed it for The Polynesian in Manhattan as “Rita Hayworth”. This is a modified combination of the two drinks which I think tastes a bit better. The legend has it that the Margarita cocktail was named after Rita Hayworth after a trip to Mexico. She took such a liking to the drink it became synonymous with the actress. She was arguably the most famous actress and sex goddess of her time, and actually of Spanish descent.
