Calamari
Calamari is a fancy Italian name for squid. In the 1970s no one was buying this Italian delicacy because squid just does not sound appetizing, but once they started calling it calamari, it because so popular that it is right up there with all the other most ordered appetizers on any restaurant menu.
COCKTAILS:
- 1 pound squid (calamari)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- salt & pepper
- 1 liter light oil for frying at 350F
